Introducing the Drumphin Farm Tweed

For generations, farms and estates across Scotland have used tweed to reflect their identity, landscape and heritage. In 2025, Drumphin Farm joined that tradition with the creation of our own bespoke Drumphin Farm Tweed.

Designed in partnership with the team at Stewart Christie & Co. and woven locally at their Glenlyon Tweed Mill in Aberfeldy, the project was an opportunity to create something that reflects both the history of the farm and our vision for its future.

As a multi-generational family farming business, we wanted the tweed to represent the people, landscape and traditions that have shaped Drumphin over many years. The design draws inspiration from the Perthshire countryside surrounding the farm, incorporating colours and tones that reflect the fields, woodland, water and wildlife that form part of the wider farming enterprise.

The process itself was a fascinating journey. Working alongside the designers and weavers, we were able to follow every stage of production, from the initial design concepts and yarn selection through to weaving and the finished cloth. The experience provided a unique insight into the craftsmanship that goes into producing a truly bespoke estate tweed.

The arrival of the first lengths of Drumphin Tweed marked an important milestone for the family. To celebrate, bespoke garments were created for members of the family and farm team, with the tweed worn during a traditional Perthshire pheasant shoot on the farm. The occasion provided an opportunity to showcase the finished cloth in the landscape that inspired its creation.

For Jo Guest, the tweed represents the heritage and traditions that have shaped Drumphin Farm over the past decades. For Olly and Lisa Guest, it reflects a commitment to investing in the long-term future of the farm, ensuring that the business continues to evolve whilst remaining rooted in its values and history.

The creation of the Drumphin Farm Tweed is another chapter in the ongoing story of the farm and one that we hope will remain part of the Drumphin identity for generations to come
